Carbis Filtration have been involved in the manufacture and supply of filters and screens for more than 25 years. Our products are primarily used for liquid / solid and solid / gas separation within the water, chemical, petrochemical, oil, gas, pharmaceutical, food and a wide range of other process industries.

As well manufacturing filters and screens we also manufacture process equipment for the filtration and treatment of liquid effluent. Our product range includes wedge wire screens, centrifuge screens, filter screens, filter elements, filter candles, filter baskets, strainers, carbon filters, catalyst support screens, filter nozzles, laterals, resin bed screens, metal and plastic filters, liquid and gas filters and filter housings.

Carbis equipment is designed and manufactured in the UK and Germany under BSEN ISO 9001:2000 approval, employing the most modern fabrication and welding techniques.

CARBIS CON-SLOT® WEDGE WIRE SCREENS

Carbis Con-slot screens and filters are specifically used where process requirements call for a safe and economic solution of solid / liquid and solid / gas separation. High flow rates, combined with excellent resistance against collapse and burst pressure, allow for sophisticated engineering and design solutions.

Carbis Con-slot screens and filters are manufactured from a combination of welded surface profiles and support structures, using specially developed machinery and automatic welding. Carbis Con-slot screens and filters are manufactured in a wide range of materials such as Stainless Steel 316Ti and 304, Monel, Inconel, Hastelloy, Duplex and Super Duplex.

For process engineering applications, such as ground water exploration, crude oil and natural gas production and vessel internals, we solve problems of solid / liquid and solid / gas separation.

Carbis Con-slot screens and filters can be manufactured into a wide range of products such as pusher and decanter centrifuge internals, catalyst support trays, filter elements, filter baskets, laterals, resin support screens, fluid bed dryer screens, filter nozzles, drum screens, resin traps and well screens.

FILTER ELEMENTS AND FILTER CANDLES

Carbis manufacture a wide range of industry standard and custom made pleated metal wire cloth and metal fibre filters, filter elements and filter candles. For some filtration applications, the use of conventional disposable cartridges may not be economically or environmentally acceptable; re-cleanable metal filters offer a cost effective solution.

The methods of construction and materials used allow for Carbis metal filters to be used in applications with design temperatures up to +400°C and differential pressures up to 25bar. Higher operating temperatures and differential pressures may be accommodated through design and the use of alternative materials such as Inconel, Hastelloy and other alloy materials.

ACTIVATED CARBON EQUIPMENT

Activated carbon is the generic term used to describe a family of carbonaceous adsorbents with a highly crystalline form and extensively developed pore structure. Activated carbon is produced under carefully controlled conditions by grinding bituminous coal, peat or coconut shells and heating them in absence of oxygen.

We manufacture and hire a standard range of adsorber vessels for both vapour and liquid phase applications, manufactured from stainless steel and mild steel as standard. We also custom manufacture to specific requirements.

Hire units are available for long or short-term hire, for both vapour and liquid phase applications. Carbis offer a site service for the removal and disposal of spent carbon, using high volume air conveying equipment. The spent carbon can then be dealt with in a responsible and environmentally sensitive manner.

LIQUID AND GAS FILTER CARTRIDGES

Carbis Filtration supplies a range of filter cartridges and filter housings for the filtration of liquids and gases. This range includes, pleated filter cartridges in polypropylene, polyester and glass fibre suitable for the micro filtration of gases and liquids. They provide high dirt holding capacity and the capability to remove a wide range of particle sizes up to the particle retention rating.

Lenticular filter cartridges provide filtration levels for removal of coarse matter right through to sterilising filtration - we have a product ideally suited for all applications. Carbis lenticular filter cartridges offer high flow, high surface area cartridges with high wet strength due to specially formulated resin binders and great physical strength due to high-grade polypropylene skeleton and polyester cover.

Hydrocarbon removal cartridges - Clerify™ Oil Adsorption Media was developed specifically for the oil and gas industry to simply and economically remove oil contamination from water, thereby enabling water to be discharged within current and anticipated statutory or best practice levels. Clerify™ removes dissolved and dispersed oils and provides a simple and convenient solutions to oil removal problems.
