SIGRIST-Photometer - Turbidimeters, Absorptiometers, Oil Trace Analyzers and Dust MonitorsSigrist is a leading manufacturer of process photometers for continuous safety, purity and quality monitoring. Whether you're talking turbidity, suspended solids, dissolved substances, color, oil or dust, we produce an instrument adapted to your particular process. Nearly all instruments are available in Ex-proof versions for hazardous areas. DUALSCAT IN-LINE TURBIDIMETERThe Sigrist in-line turbidimeter DualScat is used to measure low to medium turbidities up to 2000 NTU in filtration or other separation processes. The dual beam set-up helps to achieve the highest accuracy and reliability. Simultaneous measurement at different scattering angles (90°/25°) yields additional information on particle size distribution. Easy pipe adaption using Varivent housing and simple calibration adjustments with solid secondary reference reduce operating costs to a minimum. With a temperature range of -20°C to +180°C and pressure up to 20 bar, most process applications are covered. An EEx version, EEx d II C T6-T3, is available for use in hazardous areas. ABSORBTIONMETERS FOR COLOR AND CONCENTRATION MEASUREMENTSigrist absorptiometers are used for color measurement in various processes. Values as low as 0.2 Hazen in decoloring processes up to highly opaque media are measured with high accuracy. In addition, absorption measurement at specific wavelengths is employed to indicate the concentration of substances such as metallic ions, organic compounds or chlorine gas. A high flexibility in the design and material of our in-line flow cells allows us to suit your particular process. Colour and UV absorption can be measured with one instrument. A second wavelength can be used to compensate turbidity and window soiling. An Ex-proof version, EEx d II C T6-T3, is available for hazardous areas. OIL TRACE ANALYSERSSigrist oil trace analyzers are based on the fluorescence effect. Most mineral oils radiate visible light (fluorescence) when excited by UV light. Depending on the type of oil involved, concentrations ranging from less than 1ppm up to a few hundred ppm can be measured. Typical applications are on oil platforms, refineries, or in power plants to monitor heat exchangers or cooling water. Depending on the application, in-line, by-pass or our special free-fall flow cells can be used. The latter allows contactless measurement as a unique way to eliminate the problems of cell window fouling. It also cuts instrument servicing to a minimum. An EEx version, EEx d II C T4, is available too. DUST CONCENTRATION MONITORSThere are two main applications for Sigrist dust monitors. First is stack emission monitoring for hazardous and municipal waste incinerators as well as power plants. The Sigrist system operates in an extractive set-up, thus especially suited for wet stacks. The sensitivity is as low as a few μg/dscm. Certified by the German Technischer Ueberwachungsverein (TÜV), the system is active in more than 350 installations. The second application is environmental monitoring, for example to measure the dust concentration in warehouses, dust-loaded fabrication halls or after bag filters. The focus of these instruments is again on high stability and robustness as well as low maintenance cost.
