CRP Flex Rite - Sampling Systems

CRP FlexRite has been supplying process equipment into the pharmaceutical, chemical and petrochemical industries for the last 25 years. At CRP FlexRite we design and manufacture inline sampling valves, vessel sampling systems, powder samplers and gas samplers.

CRP is the UK’s largest manufacturer of PTFE and PFA lined process equipment. Our experience is extensive in producing fluoropolymer lined equipment, and our sampling systems are normally supplied with all wetted parts in PTFE and PFA to give excellent universal corrosion resistance.

Alongside our sampling systems, we supply the Atomac range of PFA lined ball valves, Durco plug and butterfly valves, tubular sight glasses and PTFE lined pipe and PFA lined fittings.

RECIRCULATING REACTOR SAMPLING SYSTEMS

Our range of recirculating sampling systems is supplied to mount to the top of a reactor vessel. Typical pharmaceutical sampling systems draw the sample liquor up the dip pipe using a diaphragm pump, and are pumped through the system then re-circulated back into the vessel.

The system is supplied with a sight glass for visual flow indication, sample dispensing valve and spare connections for pH probe / pressure / temperature indicators etc. Our sampling systems are self-draining, supplied with nitrogen purge connections and are highly customisable. These factors combine to ensure that a safe, representative sample is obtained every time.

INLINE LIQUID SAMPLING VALVES

For safe, efficient and representative sampling from process pipe lines our range of inline liquid sampling valves are the ideal solution. The sample is dispensed using a twin action spring return safety handle with pad lockable facility. Available generally from stock, we manufacture both stainless steel and PFA lined stainless steel types for highly corrosive duties.

Samples can be dispensed into screwed in bottles, septum assemblies or syringe samplers. Liquid and slurries can be successfully sampled. The sampling valves are a compact wafer style available up to 6in NB to suit both ASME 150 and DIN PN10/16 piping systems.

SAFETY AND CONTAINMENT CABINETS

The safety of the operator is paramount, our sampling systems are designed to take a true representative sample from a reactor, pipe line, filter dryer etc. The systems aim to do this with the minimum product exposure to the operator or atmosphere. We recommend supplying a sampler with a safety cabinet to contain spills and fumes.

Special containment cabinets can be supplied to meet specific allowable levels of OEL (Occupational Exposure Level). These cabinets or glove boxes are commonly supplied with rapid transfer ports (RTP) and glove ports. A very high level of containment and product isolation can be achieved.

VESSEL SAMPLING SYSTEMS

Samples can be taken from a reactor using existing site vacuum or an eductor to draw the sample up the dip pipe and into the sight glass section. Wetted parts are Hastelloy, Chemraz, PTFE and PFA for universal process application with highly toxic and corrosive medias.

Isolation and service valves are PFA lined Atomac type AKH2, they are extremely robust and have large bores for slurry applications. Special applications such as cryogenic, high pressure, high temperature can all be catered for. Our engineering team are always available to help with the best application of our sampling systems.

VOLUMETRIC INLINE SAMPLING VALVES

Volumetric samplers use a special ball valve to take a sample from the pipe line. The special design means that the bottle is never exposed to the line pressure. This makes the valve ideal for sampling processes under vacuum conditions.

CRP is the UK distributor for the Flowserve range of Atomac APN and AtoPro sampling valves. The range has both stainless steel and PFA lined ductile iron valves to suit the duty. The valves can be supplied actuated with special 180° Norbro actuators.
