The French chemical group Arkema plans an expansion of its hydrogen peroxide factory in Leuna. By 2010, the production capacity of the plant will be expanded to 80,000tpa.
Arkema Deutschland has awarded CAC with a FEED contract for this plant expansion.
For this order CAC will perform the front end engineering design (FEED) and prepare the necessary documentation required by regulatory agencies in accordance with BImSchG (Federal Emmission Control Act) on the basis of Arkema’s own technology.
“The award of this contract means that we were able to convince another internationally active client of our technical competence in the realisation of plants. We are particularly glad that we were entrusted with designing a plant at Leuna chemical site, where we have long-standing experience in handling projects in the field of refinery and petrochemicals," said Jörg Engelmann, chief executive officer of CAC, on the occasion of signing the agreement.
